Funeral Procession - 22 November 2007

Khalass! activists invite all Lebanese citizens to join a funeral procession this afternoon from 4pm until 6pm passing by each major political figure’s residence to mourn the pitiful behavior of our elected representatives and political leaders. Instead of defining this historical moment with courage and vision, our leaders wasted precious moments fighting, instigating violence and sectarian tension, and breaking national unity and trust. What we expected but prayed would not occur is now fast approaching. Political mismanagement is leading the country to a vast and unknown constitutional vacuum, which begins tomorrow with no foreseeable end in sight. Our political leaders have failed us without according us the minimum explanation. We, Lebanese citizens, chose wrong.
